Building
on the well proven success of version 3, PRO*Tour version 4 raises the
bar yet again in terms of overall functionality, configurability,
performance and security. . v4 offers full UNIX
deployment of both database and application servers dramatically
reducing the need for the server re - boots and maintenance associated
with the Windows environments.

control, end user password management, and greater resilience and error

. Unattended batch processing of Financial Generator.
. Reconfiguration of menus, context specific access to

"Adventure Tours Australia upgrades and relocates"Adventure
Tours Australia, ATA (formerly Northern Territory Adventure Tours) has
re-located its head office from Darwin to Adelaide. Proteus has worked
with ATA to move and upgrade its PRO*Tour servers and software such
that all ATA locations, in Adelaide, Darwin, Sydney, Alice Springs, Tasmania
and South Africa have online access to the full reservation and administration
system via standard web browsers across the internet.During the transition,
Proteus provided a temporary hosted service of
PRO*Tour from its Gold Coast headquarters.ATA has also recently gone
live the PRO*Tour Agent Web Bookings interface, offering its principal
agents 24 x 7 access to availability and reservations of its wide range
of tours and packages. Some 150 agents are
now on line with the system." PRO*Tour underpins our entire operation
and with the recent software update and the upgrade to our hardware and
communications infrastructure we are set fair to embark on the next phase

"PRO*Tour first ASP customer"
Kimberley Wilderness Adventures
has become Proteus first ASP customer for PRO*Tour. The company offers
a range of permanent camp and accommodated safaris in the Kimberley with
departures from Broome, Kununurra and Darwin.Initial training took place
in early April and live running is scheduled for May to coincide with
the start of the season.

signs up for PRO*Tour" Skyrail, Cairns "The world's most beautiful
rainforest experience" is the latest tour operator to purchase PRO*Tour.
Installation, training and implementation will take place early in 2002.
August 2001 " First
North American Sites for PRO*Tour "
During a very successful visit
to Canada and the USA in July, Proteus has signed contracts and installed
two new customers for PRO*Tour.Great Canadian Railtour Ltd (trading as
Rocky Mountaineer Railtours) based in Vancouver, Canada, has commenced
the implementation of PRO*Tour to replace its existing Tech7 reservation
system. PRO*Tour will be used to control all aspects of Rocky Mountaineer
Railtours rail and package
tour business in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.Grand Canyon Railway Inc
has commenced the implementation of PRO*Tour to replace its existing
VMS
reservation system. Grand Canyon Railways owns and operates the historic
rail service from Williams, Arizona, to the Grand Canyon rim. In parallel
with PRO*Tour, Grand Canyon Railway is implementing Oracle Financials
which is to be supplied and integrated with PRO*Tour
by Proteus.Roger Kimeklis, Proteus Managing Director/CEO, comments "We
have been targeting the North American market for the past twelve months
and are delighted with this double success. Establishing a customer base
in North America has been an important strategic goal, the achievement

" ASP site launched"
After being in test mode for several
months, Proteus launched the first of its production ASP sites with the PRO*Tour
product. This service is targeted
at the small to medium tour operator that wants to outsource the IT part
of their operation and all of the infrastructure responsibilities that
go along with maintaining a complex reservations system. For the first
time an advanced reservation system is available
to the smaller operator."PRO*Tour 2.2 beta release" November

of the new features include more advanced seat allocation and reverse

as the database tier in a multi-tier environment. The application tier
on Linux is expected to be included as part of the PRO*Tour 3.1 release.
